Stanislav Galimkhanov


Stanislav is a graduate of the Bashkir Choreography College named after Rudolf Nureyev from which he obtained qualification of the Articte of Folk Dance Ensemble with specialization in Choreography. After graduation,Stanislav began his career first with the Folklore Dance Company "Miras", followed by five years with The State Academic Gaskarov Folk Dance Company.Stanislav had given various stage shows all over Russia, toured around the world,and performed on stage in Turkey, Italy, Germany, France, Great Britain, Canada. While dancing professionally,he also lent his choreographic skills to the TV show “We are stars” in Ufa.In 2007 Stanislav was conferred to the highest level,that can be awarded in Russia for dancers, based on the United Tariff System, .
Since immigrating to Canada, Stanislav has continued to perform, choreograph and teach.
His performance as a solo dance part of the acclaimed Trepak in the Goh Ballet Nutcracker was reviewed and raved by many critics in various newspapers and journals.

Also Stanislav acquired great stage exposure by being part of the team that performed at the Opening Ceremony Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics Games .
In 2009, Stanislav was invited to teach and choreograph Ukrainian Dance at the Kvitka Ukrainian School of Dance for the children in the age group of 5- 15 .The numerous festivals that Kvitka has appeared in have earned them a multitude of awards and trophy's.
Stanislav continued his involvement with Russian culture by becoming an member of the Yablocho ensemble, Romane and Roma Gray Gypsy groups.He had performed in various cultural event held in Vancouver, notably Russian Queens show, Russian day, Country festival, Gypsy show, European festival.
Recognized as a professional and talented, he is willing to share his great love for folk dance.
