Natalia Vasiluk
Natalia Vasiluk started her journey as an actress in 1980 as a TV and Radio host while studying in Theatrical Academy of Arts (Kharhov, Ukraine) double majoring in Speech Arts and Theatre. Among her most favourite playwrights were Ibsen, Chekhov, Orwell, Gorky and Shakespeare. Natalia was a winner of an important State Speech Art Competition, compelling judges with her enchanting charisma and natural talent.
Her career led Natalia to Canada, where she found a second home as an actress, acting teacher, producer and director. She is known to appear in more than 50 parts in both movies and theatrical productions, among them "The Outer Limits", "Chris Isaak Show", "Stargate", "Just Cause", "X-Files", "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead" and many more. While being a professional actress Natalia's interests spread beyond her camera appearances. She found a great joy in creating and organizing events, shows, festivals with her new group " Romane Gypsy", which consisted of instrumentalists, singers, dancers impersonating traditional European gypsies
For many years in a row Natalia is representing Russian entertainment in Annual European Festival and continued her favourite speech art by participating in most of Russian speech art concert by reading poetry of Tsvetaeva, Pushkin and other Russian poets. In her recent achievements is "Russian Queens Fashion show" (2009), where producer & artistic director Natalia Vasiluk were representing Russia in a Cultural Olympiad.
Natalia always enjoyed working with children, therefore she decided to open her own Speech Arts and Drama School which enabled her to focus on different aspects of her acting craft. Natalia through herself in exciting world of children`s fairy tale directing a number of children`s plays, such as "Beauty in the Beast", "Aristocats", "Cinderella", "Alice in Wonderland" and many other short stories. In December of 2009 Natalia produced an entertainment show for kids "Christmas in Kitsilano", which got great reviews.
Natalia is very active in city's theatrical community as an actress and an acting teacher. In March 2010 her students won two first place awards in CDMF (Coquitlam Festival) in Speech Arts Category presenting the best prepared and executed duologues. Natalia believes that integrating Stanislavsky's acting system is the key to her students` success.
Natalia is very excited to be part of Vancouver community and to share her experience with kids and adults alike
